The Northwest Recruiters Association is a nonprofit organization established to serve those in the recruiting profession as a forum for education, networking and information dissemination in a non-competitive environment. We strive to offer ways to develop members' recruiting skills and knowledge in order for them to promote professionalism among the recruiting industry and the broader workplace community. Membership includes technical and non-technical recruiting professionals dedicated to the process of identifying, attracting and hiring individuals to organizations in the Puget Sound area.

Marvin Smith


Marvin is a SME in leveraging tools and technology that enhances the human touch in talent acquisition. As a marketer that works in talent acquisition, he focuses on strategies for talent communities, talent sourcing, recruitment marketing, and talent engagement (aka the candidate experience). Marvin’s current role with a Fortune 50 organization (Lockheed Martin) focuses on HR technology (automated recruitment marketing), strategic talent sourcing and creating talent communities for key talent segments. Previously, he held positions in strategic talent sourcing, social recruiting & recruitment marketing program management with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation; Blackberry; and Microsoft.

Zoe Stamolis

Membership Chair

Zoe Stamolis is Vice President of Parker Staffing; she sets the vision and manages strategic planning for a division staffed by recruiters, account managers, and support staff. She joined Parker Staffing Services in 1995 as the director of sales. Zoe began her career in the staffing industry in 1981. Before Parker, she held management positions at ADECCO, CDI and Volt Services Group, all based in the Pacific Northwest. Zoe plays an active role in the leadership of prominent human resources associations. She has been Membership Co-Chair of the NorthWest Recruiters Association since 2005 and a board member of both Help Desk Northwest and Northwest Call Center Professionals.

Kelly Cartwright

Programs Chair

Kelly Cartwright is the Talent Acquisition Leader for Consumer Retail Business at Amazon where she is responsible for the development and execution of talent acquisition strategies and plans for business. Prior to that, she was SVP, Client Shared Services at Randstad Sourceright. In this position she was responsible for driving performance and innovation for RPO solutions. Key areas of focus included sourcing, assessments, screening, social media, and employment branding. Recognized as one of the Top 100 HR Influencers by HR Examiner, Cartwright has more than 20 years of experience in the Talent Management industry with deep expertise in the rapid development, delivery, and implementation of professional services and technology solutions.

Andrew Holtzclaw

Finance Chair
Andrew Holtzclaw is currently a Recruiting Manager at Amazon, overseeing multiple recruiting teams including the Hardlines and Retail Systems organizations. Andrew has been at Amazon for over 6 years, working across organizations such as Fulfillment, Amazon Echo, and others. Prior to Amazon, Andrew worked for a non-profit organization in Memphis, Tennessee. He lives in Seattle with his wife Susan, and two children, John and Miriam.

Donny Trieu

Technology Chair
Donny Trieu currently recruits the best software engineering talent across North America for all product areas for the world's largest search engine. Prior to Google he designed and managed all major tech recruiting programs (marketing, referral, talent community engagement, and university recruiting) and directly influenced SVPs and C level leadership at Expeditors International. He champions change through an unrelenting dedication to challenging convention, designing innovative strategies, and leading hiring managers to success. In a former life, Donny was a Systems Analyst and gladly welcomes the role as Tech Chair for the NWRA.

Jennifer Surapisitchat

Branding/Social Media Chair
As a Talent Acquisition Partner at WE Communications, Jenn has been a pivotal partner in helping WE deliver top talent across North America. In addition to working on executive hires and driving social recruiting for WE (@WEcomms), she has been instrumental in implementing new social recruiting strategies within her organization. As a part of a global PR and Integrated Communications agency, Jenn brings a passion for story telling within social recruitment, giving her a unique ability to attract and engage with candidates.

Events/Hospitality Chair
Diane Spencer is currently a Sr. Recruiter at Talent Gap, outsourced corporate recruiting for small companies. She brings deep experience in sourcing a broad breadth of roles spanning from executive leadership to highly sought-after deep technical talent, to high-volume business-critical manufacturing and logistics manpower. Diane’s breadth of prior experiences in leadership, and account management has proven invaluable to Talent Gap and her clients. Her unrelenting ability to improve programmatic practices, develop efficient workflows, and at times, employ unconventional tactics has hiring managers asking to work with her.
